Sad to note the passing of Mal Johnson VK6LC and Phil Jamieson VK6ZPP.
Have a look at Mal’s QRZ.COM page ! Mal really has been a very active Amateur over the years.
Phil was a very active member of the NCRG for many years. Remembered well for his microphone use at Hamfests amongst other things.

This Notice Board is for Amateur Radio related Notices etc associated with the Bernie Gates Shavers Net.
I fail to see how Fashion Styles, Hairstyles and Fitness could have anything to do with it.
If you have an Amateur Radio licence ( Ham Licence ) or intend to get one then go ahead and join in. Otherwise please respect our select interests and DO NOT flood this area with other unrelated subjects.
Thankyou
1. Thinking out loud ! …
Maybe we should have an RF only day or two to give some members of the Net a “pause and reflect” on operation of the Net using RF, Wire antennas and 100W only.
Of course what people do in their own Shack and keep quiet about is their business 🙂
2. This Notices area of the Website is open to all and Welcomes further Notices, not just replies.

VK6SR Remote Hams audio has deteriorated. email has been sent to Rob.
VK6AHR currently tuned for 3610 KHz.
Net Time change
There has been some discussion on a change of time for the Net as 0800 to 0900 WST has rather erratic propagation for both 80M and 40M. An earlier start may have more stable conditions.
We can kick off at 0730 WST if it suits participants.
Please leave Comments here for all to see.

Well that worked well. As Gary wasn’t available, Kim and Neil selected the ZOOM Thurs-Sat session and it all worked well. My concern was that it had been set up as a scheduled meeting for Thurs thru Sat only.
Happy birthday to Ron 6ARE now recovering from COVID and looking forward to a delayed birthday bash.

28 November 2022 … Band conditions very poor on 40M this morning. A QSY to 80M was very successful. We will stay on 80M 3610 KHz until further notice.
Changed Remote Hams button to assist in use and setting up.
23 November 2022 … Neil VK6ANB and his Shack have been added to the Shacks Photos. AS 80M has been difficult lately, 40M was tried on Wednesday 23rd with some degree of success. The consensus is that it is worthwhile moving to 40M. Lets see how it goes. 7105 KHz from Thursday 24 November.
5 November 2022 … Changes to ZOOM access …note new Buttons. Due to other commitments Gary VK6GAL will host on Monday and Tuesday. Richard VK6BMW will host on Thursday thru Saturday. Nice to see Neil VK6ANB is working towards joining us.

The Net took a technological leap. We added video!! Participants of the net could be seen via a simultaneous ZOOM meeting. It was well received by those that availed themselves of the video feed. Video only at this time as addition of audio via ZOOM was considered to be quite confusing. All audio was via the usual HF Net from the participants own station equipment ( other than those using a Remote Hams facility of course:) ). This may become a regular part of the net every Friday, addition of TEXT will be added on the 30 April 2021 as a trial.

I would find this difficult in warmer months as I like to go early for a swim or replenish our fish supply.
Prefer to stay with 8.00 am start, but would go along with majority decision.
